Light up Armenia sells a digital service. Nothing physical is shipped: everything is delivered online, on the website lightarmenia.com and, on 31 December, on our YouTube live stream.
What you buy
There is one thing to buy, for one payment of 600 AMD.

The wish is included in the price: there is no extra payment for it. Each place has exactly one wish.
The map, the rooms and the fire are computer animations; no real paper is burned. From every 600 AMD payment, 120 AMD (20%) goes to New Year gifts for children in Armenia who grow up without a family.
Prices are final, shown in Armenian drams (AMD). There are no subscriptions and no hidden charges: you pay once per order.
Your place: how and when it is delivered
Light up Armenia is a digital map of Armenia with a limited number of places: 111,111, each 500×500 m. Our goal is to fill all of them before 25 December. This is a goal, not a deadline: free places can be taken right up to the 31 December fire. When every place on the current map is taken, there are no free places left.
This is a symbolic digital marker: you do not acquire any land, property or right to a real place. The borders on the map are approximate and illustrative only (see section 7 of the Terms of Service).
- While you pay, the place you chose is reserved for you for 30 minutes.
- Right after payment your place appears on the map and you are taken to your personal page, with a link to your place. We also send the link to your email.
- Your room is yours to decorate. You can change it later at any time.
- Any visitor can tap your place, open your room and look at it, send you warmth, and see your name and words (once they are approved), the date, the province and the nearest town. Your email is never shown.
What counts as delivered: your place has appeared on the map and your personal page is available.
If your place is taken: each place can belong to only one person. If, rarely, someone else takes it at the same moment, we offer you the nearest free place or a full refund, whichever you prefer.
How long your place stays on the map: at least until 31 January 2027. After that, we may keep the map as a read-only archive page or remove it.
If your name or words are hidden while they are checked or because they broke the rules, your place still stays on the map, just without them.
Your wish: how and when it is delivered
- You write your wish once, right after taking your place or later, in the "Fire" tab on the map. It is up to 120 characters. Write it before the fire ends on 31 December: a wish written after that can no longer burn.
- On 31 December 2026 the wishes of all paid places burn together in one shared fire, in a single day. The fire is broadcast live on YouTube and is also shown on the website, on the live page. There is no live stream before 31 December. We announce the start time on the website in advance.
- After your wish has burned, your personal page shows its number, a replay of it burning and your story image.
What counts as delivered: your wish has burned in the fire on 31 December and your personal page is available. Because all the wishes burn together on one day, we cannot guarantee that every wish is shown separately on the YouTube stream, especially if very many wishes are written in the last hours or YouTube is interrupted. Every wish of a paid place still burns in the fire on the website and in its replay.
How long your page is available: at least until 31 January 2027.
If your text is hidden by moderation (for example, it contains a real person's name, a phone number or a link), your wish still burns, but its text is not shown publicly. You still see it on your personal page.
Before payments open
If card payments are not open yet when you visit, you can save your place with your email. You are not charged anything. The place is not reserved then: if it is taken before payments open, we offer you the nearest free place. When payments open, we email you a link to pay.
You can already write your wish for a saved place. It burns on 31 December if your place is paid by then.
Payment methods
- Bank cards — Visa, Mastercard and ArCa cards, as accepted by Ameriabank. The exact list is shown on Ameriabank's payment page.
How payment works
- You press the payment button on the order page.
- You are taken to the bank's own secure payment page. You enter your card details there, not on our site. We never see or store your card number or CVV.
- Your bank may ask you to confirm the payment with a one-time code (3-D Secure).
- After the bank confirms the payment to us directly, you are returned to your personal page.
If the payment fails, no money is taken and your order stays unpaid. You can try again.
Currency and foreign cards
All payments are made in Armenian drams (AMD). Cards issued abroad are charged in AMD; your card issuer converts the amount to your card's currency at its own rate and may charge a fee.
Cards issued in Russia generally do not work with Armenian banks. If you are in Russia, a relative or friend in Armenia can pay for you using the link to your order.
Payment confirmation and receipt
After payment you see a confirmation on your personal page and receive it by email. Your bank also shows the payment in your card statement.
